'It all began, as great love stories must, in a rose garden. David Cameron and Nick Clegg strode out into their new sun-dappled world. Bees buzzed. Birds sang. We all realised this wasn’t a press conference but a wedding. The newlyweds were bursting with the politics of love, of coalition, of happiness...'
Who remembers these good old days? I do. In fact I yearn for them. Dave and Nick haven’t really been getting on recently and let me be the first to say it just won’t do. Resignations. Rows. Tuition-fees. U-turns. Europe. Tax breaks. ENOUGH. We need to remind them of the love they once shared.
Here’s your chance. You can win a copy of Ann Treneman’s Dave & Nick: The Year of the Honeymoon and remind Dave and Nick that they’ve got the love to see each other through, and it’s all so simple. All you have to do is come up with a hilarious caption for this photo.
Is it just me or does it look like Nick Clegg’s gone all Melanie Griffiths on us and had a sneaky trout pout installed?
